All You Need

All we do need is love.

To be a giver, all you need is love.

To be extravagant in your giving, all you need is love.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16

Giving Is Love Manifested

“Wherever there is true love, there must be giving, and giving to the point of sacrifice. Love is not satisfied with giving trinkets; it must give at the cost of sacrifice: it must give blood, life, all. And it was so with the love of God. "He so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son."
F B Meyer

He Loved So He Gave

“God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us”
1 John 4:8-10

Loving is giving, and you cannot separate the two.

Agape love is selfless love, the love for humanity.

It is the compassionate love that makes us sympathize with,
help and connect to people we don’t know.

"Christ also loved and gave Himself up, an offering and a sacrifice to God."
Ephesians 5:2

Giving Is Love Manifested

We are to imitate God's love (agape) in Christ.

“But the king said to Araunah, "No, but I will buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God that cost me nothing." So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar to the Lord and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord responded to the plea for the land, and the plague was averted from Israel.”
2 Samuel 24:24-25 ESV

Such was the love of Jesus and this must be our model.

“At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort, a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God.”
Acts 10:1-2 ESV

You can’t truly fear God, with true devotion, and not give.

“And Cornelius said, "Four days ago, about this hour, I was praying in my house at the ninth hour, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God. Send therefore to Joppa and ask for Simon who is called Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.' So I sent for you at once, and you have been kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord."”
Acts 10:30-33 ESV

“About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, "Cornelius." And he stared at him in terror and said, "What is it, Lord?" And he said to him, "Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God.”
Acts 10:3-4 ESV

Check Your Giving

Tithing is the minimum because technically it isn’t really giving,
but it is honoring God as first.

Love will fix you selfishness, greed, and stinginess.

All You Need Is Love

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16

When you give yourself away, others become rich.

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you by His poverty might become rich.”
2 Corinthians 8:9 ESV
