Key Scriptures

Then the men of Kirjath Jearim came and took the ark of the LORD, and brought it into the house of Abinadab on the hill, and consecrated Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the LORD. So it was that the ark remained in Kirjath Jearim a long time; it was there twenty years. And all the house of Israel lamented after the LORD. Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for the LORD, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.” So the children of Israel put away the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and served the LORD only. And Samuel said, “Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to the LORD for you.” I Samuel 7:1-5 NKJV

“The eye is the lamp of the body. Therefore, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how terrible that darkness will be! Matthew 6:22-23 CEB

“Therefore, I say to you, don’t worry about your life, what you’ll eat or what you’ll drink, or about your body, what you’ll wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds in the sky. They don’t sow seed or harvest grain or gather crops into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth much more than they are? Who among you by worrying can add a single moment to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? Notice how the lilies in the field grow. They don’t wear themselves out with work, and they don’t spin cloth. Matthew 6:25-28 CEB

Bring the whole tenth-part to the storage house so there might be food in my house. Please test me in this, says the LORD of heavenly forces. See whether I do not open all the windows of the heavens for you and empty out a blessing until there is enough. Malachi 3:10 CEB

Holy God, I surrender to You my heart and my mind for cleansing. I know You desire for us to love You wholeheartedly and willfully. Keep my mind from evil thoughts. Steer it away from the influences of wicked imaginations. Help me take every thought of mine captive to Your obedience, that I may experience joy in You. Put a hedge of protection around my mind. Help me will my thoughts to dwell on what is good, true, and positive. Amen.

Start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.

Take a look in the mirror and ask the Lord to identify anything that could be identified as evil in your own life. Repent of it and ask the Lord for forgiveness. He is merciful and willing to forgive us and restore us always. After this ask if there is anyone in your life that is harming you or holding you back because of evil in their own life. Make a decision prayerfully about what to say and do but don’t let evil have influence over your life any longer.
